This 240 kW roof top system was installed in two phases on three classroom buildings and a wood shop. Located in the seaside village of Waianae on west coast of Oahu, Waianae High School was part of pilot program initiated by the Hawaii State Department of Education, whereby the DOE did not pay for installation of the systems and purchases electricity at rates below normal utility costs.
The DOE was pleased with the installation and HPS’ coordination with the principal and staff at the campus.
