When Safari Energy needed a local contractor to build a 297 kW system covering the top level of the Whalers Village parking structure, they called on Hawaii Pacific Solar. HPS had worked with Safari to troubleshoot a PV system installed by a different contractor at Ala Moana Shopping Center, so Safari knew HPS was up to the task. Whalers Village is the premier retail center for West Maui in the resort of Kaanapali and attention to detail was critical to ensure the system fit in with the architecture of the center.
This installation required over 1,000 linear feet of trenching through an active retail operation with minimal disruption.
